but I'm not sure they are particuarly descripitive. Needs students to describe children who have major disabilities (CD,DH, etc) Langauage learners for any child in the process of learning English. For kids with learning needs, I simply use the term support. Children with learning support.
This is such an emotional topic and acceptable terms change so often. I denpend on the special educators to help me with the proper terms as needed. All special educators in my room are called co-teachers.:)
