    This year, I'm saying an A means they are meeting almost all or all of their goals for that class. For grade level students, it means they are working at or above grade level standards. For students with special needs (ELL, SPED, Gifted, etc.), it means they are meeting their IEP/ ELL goals.

    I'm lucky that my class this year has really hard workers. I tell them the lesson objectives and they want to accomplish them- they are focused on learning new things and not the grades. Part of this is because I am now posting the objectives for each lesson (required :eek: ) but I think it still might not work every year.
