Spider Web Circle time

We just finished a unit on spiders that included the story The Very Busy Spider. A fun idea we did, since it is close to Halloween, was buy some of that fake spider web material from a dollar store. We then game each child a corner as we slowly stretched it around the circle. The children loved to see a spider web appear before their eyes. We then placed a stuffed spider in the center and sang a song The Spider Spins a Web to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell. (off the internet) and gave each child a turn to say what their spider caught in their web.
