I spent the first full week teaching mostly procedures but due to a pacing calendar did start some curriculum. The calendar does give us a few days to get the procedures in motion. Perhaps start this next week explaining procedures in more detail and not worry too much about keeping up at exactly the pace of the other teachers. What works for me is to always remember how critical the first six weeks of school are and if the students can get the procedures down and settle into a routine, the rest of the year will be great.
