    I know I have a couple of picture books on the Westward Expansion in my classroom. I don't recall the titles right now. I will look on Monday and post again.

    Oh, just remembered the title of one, Boom Town! It's the story of how a town grew around a silver mine and how a girl's pie business brought in all of the people needed to make it a successful town. It's a cute book with neat period illustrations.
