I'd rather have them at school with me so that I'm not limited and can be more responsive in my teaching.... I wonder if you have enough room to create makeshift shelves. One year I kept all my read alouds in crates tipped on their sides. Since they stack side to side and up and down, they can go on top of any shelf, or they can create a wall somewhere in your room, or they can easily fit between odd places. The only thing is, you'll have a handful that are too tall and will just need to be placed elsewhere.
