    * hang coat, put lunch box on shelf, put daily communication folder in basket and stick backpack in cubby.
    *Complete the morning work sheet on their desk.
    *Read quietly until announcements.

    That's it! Very simple. Towards the end of the year I start posting directions for them on the board to train them for second grade. I also start making them write their homework down like they will be require to do the following year.
