    Clip to ScrapBook

I put a label on the spine with my last name, and I put a layer of tape over it. This seems to work well, and I can identify my books just by looking at the shelves. There are books on my shelf that belong to the school and other teachers, so mine are easy to distinguish.

As far as organization, all I require is that they are neatly on the shelf with the spines outward. A lot of teachers sort them by level and put color coded stickers on them to help kids choose books on their level. My school doesn't use AR, so I don't put levels on my books. I just try to keep books that are near or at the grade level I teach.

When students borrow a book, they have to sign it out, and I initial the list when the book is returned. I'm sure I've lost books at some point, but my students have been pretty good about using the honor system.
