Students pay tickets for talking out, out of seat without permission, extra bathroom trip, borrowing pencils, etc. Once a month students may redeem their tickets at the store. I have items "priced" for sale. For example: pencils, erasers = 3 tickets; small snack = 10 tockets; spiral notebook, coloring book = 25 tickets. The prices go up to 200 tickets and itmes are medium-sized stuffed animals (from my children's rooms), small model cars, etc. I get lots of items at thrift stores, yard sales and $1.00 stores. It can be expensive but I feel that the value is in teaching students how to earn the reward.
