I teach an elementary FMD unit and we just finished a unit and found some wonderful activites in the May/June 1995 Copycat magazine. The article was on Cinco de Mayo. The Sept./Oct. 1992 Schooldays magazine has a thematic unit on Mexico. I found some wonderful activity sheets--reading map skills sheet, pattering skill sheet, and a spanish color word vocabulary worksheet. We made an adobe brick and the highlight of the unit was the pinata.
