Semester in London
By Laura H.

Clip to ScrapBook
I TOTALLY agree Gina! I taught at a school in northern London and they focused a TON on play! Almost all of the children attended after-school clubs, sports teams, etc. Even the primary kids!

Also, adults do it too.
I was in college, but it seemed like everyone one, from 20s-50s went out after work to socialize. This wasn't really even on weekends, like every night of the week. People I met that lived there were ALWAYS taking
weekend "holidays" to beaches, other countries, etc. The area I lived in, South Kensington (Madonna's kids went to school in the area), had some very high end jobs, like
fashion design firms, finance offices, etc. Those people partied ALL of the time. Then it was always back on the tube Monday morning, relaxing with a book and headphones.
I would say the European work ethic is A+. Not that I am "dogging" the US, but there was a big difference
