The only advise I have is to not plan anything elaborate. Since this is your first year, everything will be new to you but by now you should have some idea of how the students react to things. I would follow my plans that I had and not plan something special. I would assume that you have some sort of curriculum and pacing for the year...follow that. Have the students actively engaged and participating. I know it is hard...I still hate it. It does get easier. Good Luck!
