Just wanted you to know your not alone is this situation. Myself and other teachers I work with deal with this problem everyday. Believe me, we even correct each others kids in front of one another. It is part of our job. My daughter is also a student at the preschool, I teach at and trust we have had some behavioral issues. I do feel you should try to sit down with the parent and explain: you understand her wanting to comfort her child, but when she does it after you have gotten after him for his misbehavior, then she is telling him that it is okay to disrespect his teacher. If you need record, start sending a daily report home for her to sign so you know that she has seen it.. After this talk to her.. Theresa
