I don't blame you!

I think I would have done the same thing you did: hang up when she wouldn't stay calm, and refuse to talk. Even if she is Jewish, she should respect the fact that teachers have other things going on in our lives, whether that includes holidays or just weekends/breaks.

When you get back to school, you should contact her (either yourself or through the school secretary) and schedule a good time when you can both meet in person at school. Be polite and don't refer to the Christmas Eve incident. She'll probably have calmed down by then, and bringing it up could make things worse.
