This is exactly what I am trying to avoid by not only having an unlisted number, but also unpublished. Make sure to get both. I have colleagues that give out their cell and home numbers. I keep telling them that they should
have a separation between home and school. We don't have access to doctors, lawyers, mechanics, etc. 24-7, so why should parents have access to us at all times. I stress to my parents at the beginning of the year that if they need to contact me, my plan time is this time to this time and I am at school from 8:15 - 4:15 most days. If they need to contact me outside those hours, they
may leave a voice message or send an email to my school account. I've had parents look up my number before I had it unlisted/unpublished and call me on Spring Break. I've had a grandparent call and ream the counselor about a child's grades in the middle of my maternity leave a few years ago. It is amazing the gall that some people truly have!
