Ticked Off Too!

I'm ticked off too!! Every survey I get regarding teacher issues I make it a point to highlight this concern. I HATE feeling like my basic human rights are not being considered. I wonder why teachers are not more vocal
and why NCAE does not address this need.
When I wrote NCAE and asked about break times (it is my understanding that the law stated that employees get a 15 min. break in am and pm), I was told it didn't apply to teachers!! I work from 7:30 to 11:55 every day without a break! I have to call the office for a secretary to come down just to let me go to the potty.
Luckily, I only have

to do lunch duty once in a rare while when a certain assistant is absent...but those days when I do are killers! Oh, and the principal holds "Duty Free Lunch" over our heads from time to time...apparently he can take it away when he wants because it is not required.
