advice

Clip to ScrapBook
It is very overwhelming when you are getting started! Teachers have hundreds of decisions to make on a daily basis, and as a new teacher you should expect to make a few wrong decisions. As you gain experience, you will
be more confident in your choices.

My advice is to go ahead and make definite decisions. Even if they turn out to be the wrong decisions, at least you're not grasping for some sort of answer to the problem. You can always change at semester or at the end of the year. This is my 3rd year of teaching, and I still try new ideas to figure out what works and what doesn't work. Whatever

decisions I make, I stick with it for at least a semester, that way the kids know what to expect. If I need to make changes at semester, I let the kids know that i made some changes, and I keep those in place for the semester.

It does get easier, I promise. Just make definite decisions, even if they turn out to be wrong. Good luck to you.
