Does the principal respect the "gossip queen"?
That depends on the principal. Most do not. They listen politely but let the information go in one ear and out the other.
There is, however, the principal who regards herself as the 'all knowing' and encourages the "gossip queen" to bring her any and all information.
I once worked for the 'all knowing' principal. Not only was she 'all knowing' she expected to be treated as royalty. She was the queen and we were the serfs. If your principal is this type the only thing to do is transfer.
