Hi Chris, I live in a suburb of Sydney, Australia. It is hard to answer your question as this is a huge country. On the whole it is a safe and friendly place to be. The average house price in my suburb would be around $450,000, and a teacher's salary at the top of the pay scale is around $65,000. Australia is a laid back and relaxed environment, and I wouldn't want to raise my children anywhere else. The principal at my school also recently told us that the state of New South Wales where I live has the second highest literacy ranking in the WORLD, just behind Finland. Email for more info.
