My mother said so By JMO

I completely agree but I do know I get defensive with the bully parents or the if I hear their student say "my mom said so" one more time parents. 90% of my parents are wonderful but there is always a couple that get under| my last piece of skin. The students consistently say things about mom. One today had a note that she couldn't go out for recess. She said that she didn't have to sit at the principal's office. Well there was no place else for her to go. She said "my mom said I didn't have to because I'm not in trouble." There has to be adult supervision and that was the only place with adult supervision | | without distracting another classroom. Then there's the one that never works and takes all his work home. He comes to school and says "my mom is really proud of me for getting all my work done." This kid now thinks he has done the most wonderful thing in the world and that negates everything I am trying to do in the classroom. Now he doesn't work for me because he knows he can take this home and earn his free game time. These are the parents I need to vent about and need to vent about without everyone getting all bent out of shape. I vent because it feels good to get it out and until I get it out I cannot concentrate on the positive 90% of parents. I know that not everyone gets bent out of shape and I mean that sarcastically but there are always a couple that do!
