Going back to school.

I finished my BA late (37). I waited a year and started my Masters. This took me two years to complete (I was 40). I went to a local university cohort class. I really enjoyed it. Now, I am going back for my specialist degree.
I am taking one class at a time, then three day classes in the summer. My kids are 10 and fifteen. They are used to me going to school. It is not that I neglect them - I am a night owl and do most of my work after they are in bed or on Sunday afternoons.
The reason that I am going back is more to build up retirement and have money to pay for their college. I still have student loans

from my BA that I am paying off.

The way that I paid for my masters and how I am paying for my specialist degree. I charge the class, then pay it off as I am taking it. I have been able to pay off each sememster. However, this summer I am worried about the three classes. I may have to have my loans deferred. However, If you are in the same boat, make sure that you pay on any unsubsidized loans so that your interest doesn't build up your loans all over again.

Also, I have friends who have avoided school because they were determined to make straight A's. Well, I have been there and done that. This time I am just going to relax and learn what I can but not kill myself or my family doing it. My friend got her masters and never bought a book. She barely did any work, except for the article reviews we had to do and she made all a's and b's.
