3 M has a product that sticks to the wall and is sticky on the front. You can put things on it as if it is a giant post-it. Contact may also have something.Can you bring in plants for the window sill or hang plants from the ceiling? I don't know if you can hang things from ceiling but if you, you can put mobiles. How about hanging border strips around the doorway to brighten things up?
