African Americans

There are African American parents that do not use physical punishment as a means to control their children's behavior. While there are many African American parents who utilize physical punishment, we should be careful about making generalizations with regards to cultural norms because these are ever changing. I'm not trying to provoke you, and I respect your opinion even though I disagree with you. However, I felt that the your comment was somewhat stereotypical. Your experience with a few parents should not guide your opinion of what a whole race does.
