tots in school

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach kindergarten and I would never, EVER, allow a parent to bring a sibling, whatever the age, into the classroom. First of all, it is usually distracting enough for the K student to have a parent present, let alone a sibling. However, have extra people in the room works for some teachers, especially if it is at a time where attention is not a huge issue.
As a parent though, I would keep out of it. Continue to be supportive to the teacher and follow her direction. The last thing you want to do is get involved in a spat. It probably isn't worth any amount of help to the teacher to deal with fighting parents.
That's my point of view. Hope that helps.
