Clip to ScrapBook
This has been a very frustrating year for me, especially now at the this time of year. I am a 1st year kdg teacher and I have a JW in my class. I have been given their literature to read ( which I respect, but do not believe
in) and I have had the parents in my class on a daily basis looking to see what "I DO". I have gone to admin with the issues, we are holding a meeting this week! I am not not having their child participate in anything that is contrary to their religious beliefs, which is just about everything I do, especially at this time of year!My job is to educate children and not to instill religious
beliefs in them. I was told by the parent that I am "perpetuing a lie in class" Example- Hanukkah, Christmas) this is especially trying in Kdg becuase we read a lot of seasonal books and do tons of seasonla activities!!!
I have done extensive reearch on their Religion and was ALARMED by what I have found!!!
I am at a lost as is administration over this radical family!!!
