The Polar Express

Before reading the book to our classes we used Thinking Maps to describe the North Pole,trains,
etc. After reading the book we continued our use of Thinking Maps to describe the boy in the story,
sequence the events in the story. We then read The Magic Journey which is the book that the movie is based. Then using Double Bubble Maps we compare/contrast the two books. After viewing the movie we can back and used Double Bubble Maps to compare/contast the book (The Magic Journey) to the movie.
