Reading time
By Jade

Clip to ScrapBook
How about charting the minutes they read as opposed to the volume of pages? That way slower students and quicker students can be measured together without the slower ones feeling inferior.

As far as book reports, there are lots of books that show you how to do alternative things like cubes illustrating parts of the book or maybe creative book jackets. It doesn't have to be a written report for the student to demonstrate they've read a book. This way you can let some of the other "intelligences" shine and get their creative juices flowing.

Maybe you can have the kids each do a "book talk" about a favorite, or start a class book of book reviews.

Congrats that your kids are so excited by reading. Keep up the good work!!
