I guess it depends on what concepts and activities
you are planning to do. We read Hatchet and it took 2 months. The novel we are doing now we started Nov 22 and we will finish by Dec 20-21.
I plan to do another novel in January when we get back where we will only read and do one project at the end once we have finished the book. I may stress vocabulary while we read and do some related activities.
