Hi,

I've always been the most quiet one on my staff. I've been teaching 14 years at the same school and I have always kept to myself. I'm collegial and say "Hi" or "Good morning." If someone asks for a favor, I'm glad to help as much as I can.

I think you should do what makes you comfortable. It's not "snobby." And little by little, you may get to know and like your co-workers enough to have friendships outside of school.

I really keep to myself outside of work too. You shouldn't be down. Just be yourself. You sound like a very nice, sensitive person. I'm sure people see you for who you are and maybe feel you're shy and do not want to make you uncomfortable.

Don't worry, be happy.
