Hi Michelle - hang in there. I've had me special ed degree for 12 years now but have been active in education for MUCH longer (won't say how old I am) My advice...don't worry about the laws. You need to pass the test and get certified of course, but after that your job is going to be working with kids. The laws change year to year and the trends go in circles, but the kids don't really change that much. Leave the laws to the administrators and focus on the fun parts, the kids. Many in my position are getting burned out because of paper work etc. I still love my job because of my focus.
