Because it is called planning time not break time! I think the poster was just giving an example anyway. She/He could have said, I have to be at school by 7:30. If I don't want to show up until 8:00 that isn't going to fly and I will be punished in the real world. Kids have to understand that! You seem to be dodging the point. We do have things that we must do in the real world and we can't always do what we want. Neither can the students. It isn't always about what we want! I think that is what the poster is saying.
