I'm back

I should say I teach a 3/4 blend. The thing that drives me nuts is when they look at you with that blank stare and say, "I don't get it," when you know they haven't been listening and haven't read the directions. I tell them they're not allowed to use those four words because they tell me they haven't been listening. They are allowed to ask a specific question about a specific part of the assignment that shows me they've listened, read the directions, and at least tried to do it. It takes training, but by the end of the year, they get it.
