Workplace Friends
By Joan

Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Jodie:

Sometimes your colleagues at work may become your friends but more likely they will just be work peers. To be a successful employeee, you need to be able to get along with all your co-workers - you do not have to like them and they do not have to like you, but you do have to put your differences aside for the good of the job (this is part of earning a paycheque).

Playing the political game - just do your job and if you interact with your peers, make sure it is positive and/or neutral in nature. Too much interaction can affect the job negatively - focus on doing the best job you can and the rest will fall in place. Don't worry what others say or think - only on doing the best job you can.

Good Luck
