Shoebox Project
By Holly Usher

Clip to ScrapBook
Have students decorate a shoebox to represent their state and include 10 items that tell something about the state (for example: for GA they could place sand in the box b/c GA is a coastal state, or peanuts b/c they are an agricultural product, a crown b/c GA was named for King George, etc.).....lots of fun b/c they should not place the name of the state anywhere on the box and keep their assigned state a "secret".....then the class can guess which state is represented after the student presents their work to the class
