Holiday Gift
By Tracy

Clip to ScrapBook
I have created the same gift for the parents for years. I have the students draw with a black crayon any picture of the holidays that they want. I do give some examples on the board (i.e. triangle christmas tree with round
circles, a menorah with 8 candles and one more taller candle, a square present with a bow on top, etc...) After they draw their picture, I let them use watercolor paints to color in their picture. I encourage them to paint the whole paper, sky, etc...I make sure they write "Merry Christmas or Happy Chanuka", sign their name and write the year on their paper. Then, I scan them into
the computer, shrink them down to a 5X7 size, print them out and stick them to a 5x7 self-sticking magnet. (Walmart usually carries these peel and stick magnets). The kids then create the wrapping paper. They come adorable and the parents "rave" about these gifts. Good luck!
