Clip to ScrapBook
Hi,

I am switching careers from child psychology to teaching special education. I would look to see if there are other indications that something is amiss. Is the child aggressive or an outcast? Have the child's grades or behavior changed? Is this a one time theme or has it been protrayed in other work? You could also ask the child to tell you more about how they got the idea? What made them pick the theme and why did it end that way? Also does the work portray them or any specific real life individuals like other students? If you have concerns, especially after asking the child (whithout accusations) about the story, then I would contact either the parent and or the counselor.
