Cheese sandwiches
By anonymous

Clip to ScrapBook
It was all about cheese sandwiches. The mother didn't fill out the form that she got this summer in the mail for free/reduced lunch. So she started getting charged. After a certain amount, they no longer offer the regular
lunch. They get a cheese sandwich and milk. This child could benefit from a little less food. Anyway, the parent was upset that I didn't call her directly. I told her I had sent two forms home already. This is also not my problem. We don't even do caf. duty. We drop them off and pick them up.She called me a b***ch and told me she was going to 'kick my mother-f***ing a**' in front of her
daughter, and she is worried about her eating a couple cheese sandwiches? This woman is ridiculous. I even had her daughter last year. No problems. I thought she really liked me. There was an issue about a month ago where the daughter told me she was to go to the afterschool program. Her mom had filled out the form, so I let her go. The next morning the mom came in yelling at me, because she had 'never filled out any form.' I got a copy of the original which just happened to be in her handwriting.I reported this incident to my local education association, have done all the school required documentation and have filed a police report-apparently you can do it online without any hassle. Luckily, I have all her personal info.-address, etc. Now I am protected if something happens, she already has a record. I was uncomfortable about the restraining order thing, because she would have to be served and she might really have it out for me. But if you think about it, your classroom really is like your second home. Think of how much money you have invested and how many personal things you have in your room. I will not subject myself to some trifling woman who would stoop to the level of sending some of her friends up to a school to make a teacher's life miserable. I am also concerned about my car. Alot of the children know what color my car is, so I'm sure there are parents that know also. I got a withdrawal form this morning for the child. I couldn't be happier, she will be at another school!!!
