Wow, I can't believe everyone is so opinionated on this issue! Unfortunately, I still haven't heard any other ideas for disciplining in the classroom. I have read books where they say to set a timer and have the child sit alone at a desk. I've also heard about students writing a note as to what they did, and why they did it. I'd like to know what other teachers use that is effective, without taking up a chunk of class time to implement, that really works!
