Continue to document and report incidents where children are hurt. (a bruised back resulted on the child whose chair was pulled out from underneath) Continue to document and report incidents where a child throws items, even| if no one was hurt. Be sure to send any child who was hurt to the nurse (hopefully you have one) so that there is another record of the incident. You need to keep documenting these incidents for your own protection. The record will help you if a serious injury results from the child's behavior. If you keep documenting you have a record that you tried to do something about it. Does | | your school have some type of teacher support team? This would be a team of teachers that meet to give classroom teachers ideas how how to support student learning and is often required before a referral for services can be made. You can take this student to the team and ask for help in getting his behavior under control. Now it really doesn't matter if they give good suggestions or not. Follow them and go back and report if they are unsuccessful. It may be a poin to keep doing this but it shows that you tried to control the situation. As to the report itself - redo it carefully and neatly. Keep the original and a copy of your redone report together. In fact be sure you keep a copy of every discipline report you send to the office. I know this is a rough year, but remember not all classes are like this. If you can get through this year next year will be better.
