I truly know how you are feeling. I am in the same boat as you, my adm. does nothing to my students when the are sent to the office. I was told verbally and then by memo that all problems are to be handled in the classroom. The memo also said that we are not to take recess away from the students (I do this only when they've not completed classroom work), why should they get to play when the have done nothing all day. I almost lost my cool when we got this stupid memo! I just disregard the DUMB commemts made by people who've been out of the classroom for years. I will still take recess away if the do NOT follow my classroom rules. I now have my cell phone on all day and have and will call parents if situations get to difficult to handle!
