I have just begun using independent study projects for my higher level students who are already familiar with the math concept we are studying. One thing they love to do is create games and activities for the other students to use. Another idea I have used, when we were studying large numbers, they make a collage showing how they would spend one million dollars.
I would love to hear more new ideas.
