Possessive form of "it"
By skidd

Clip to ScrapBook
The possessive form of "it" is "its."

"Its" is listed as the possessive form of the pronoun "it," just like "his" is the possessive of "he" or "their" is the possessive of "they."

I haven't seen a grammar book in a while, but I believe you add apostrophes (and "s" where applicable) to NOUNS to make them possessive, but I think PRONOUNS probably all have their own possessive forms.

(I just wanted to make the distinction between nouns and pronouns before I ended this message.)
