I completely agree with the previous posting. Why fix it if it ain't broken? I would suggest you giving them a copy of your expectations and consequences and telling them that you feel you have no need for a behavior contract,
but they could create one at home if they felt it was necessary. I'm assuming this student doesn't really have many problems in your classroom. It IS your classroom. Do what you want and need to do and don't let them pressure you into anything if you feel it is unnecessary. You could also let them know that it is exceptional to see parents who are so involved and cooperative
and you will contact them immediately if this student has any behavioral problems just to reassure them that you are on the lookout. What are they thinking, though, really, that you let your class go crazy? It's kind of funny, isn't it - like an army or something...lol
