Find time to get with your union rep. If you have to take half a day off, do it without delay. Your perception that this situation can turn on you is correct. Right now everyone will be scrambling to protect their own behind, no matter who gets hurt. My advice is start protecting yours. Get together any documentation of what has happened and be ready to defend yourself. Yes, I realize you haven't done anything wrong and it is not fair. That is the way these things work out. Good luck to you. Be honest and strong.
