If you go to Scholastic.com they have an area where you can sample some of their book. One of their books called Super Story-Writing Strategies and Activities, has a great lesson called "Start an Ending". It gives examples of four different types of endings.
Examples -
Memory: I'll never forget the time...
Feeling: I can still feel the chill tingling down my spine..
Hope or Wish: I hope that the next time...
Decision: From that day on, I decided...I hope this helps. It sure helps my fourth graders every year. Amy
