Clip to ScrapBook
In the past I have had my students make magnetic picture frames or picture ornaments using cardstock, variety of pasta shapes, and a picture brought from home. Students decide on shape of frame, outline where picture will
go, then glue a pattern of macaroni around where the picture will go to create the frame. Finally I spray paint then gold or silver--do this outside. Then when dry students glue picture in frame. We either add ribbon with hot glue gun for an ornament or I add adhesive magnetic strips to the back to make it a magnetic frame.
Parents have always loved this and it makes a great center
but you need to start early to get them all done.

We have also made adorable magnet or pins that look like reindeer using old jigsaw puzzle pieces. Select three pieces from puzzles--you can get them at the dollar store--use ones with medium sized pieces. One is the face the other two are for the antlers. Glue pieces together, paint them brown. Use googly eyes and ribbon to decorate maybe even a small pom pom for a nose. Use magnet strip or glue on a pin backing.Wrap in tissue paper or create gift bags out of brown lunch bags. Inexpensive but cute gifts.
