I can relate to your experience By luv2teach

Maggie, I can totally relate to your situation. I had a st for the first time last year. I was really excited because my st experience was a good one. Well, this st was a teacher in her second career. I could relate | because I was too! That excited me more. Also, she had kids. Getting better! NOT!!! OMG, this st was so overbearing, a know-it-all (even her university teacher said this to me firs thing!!), her discipline was horrible! She wanted to analyze EVERYTHING!! She proceded to tell me what I was doing wrong, what was wrong with my class, etc. She had NO control (and my kids were great | | before she got there). It was like a zoo on most days. I would nicely mention this to her, and she would make excuses and never try to recify the problem. I wrote as much on her evals. but her university teacher just "poo-pooed" it off. She also tried to tell other teachers that I had not "diagnosed" my students yet (HELLO!! I can't do that, I am NOT a doctor!!) She always told me how gifted she was, her kids were, etc. etc. She knew EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING or so she said. Everyone was tired of her by the time she left. Her next coop teacher wasn't so nice, telling her she needed to get out of teaching! Anyway, I can totally relate. I gave her a little basket of goodies and sent her on her way. Just smile, because she will be leaving you soon and off to harrass someone else.
