I'm in my 7th year and I'm still stressed and exhausted. I'm a little obsessive and it's a job where I can't ever find the time to reflect on the good because there are soooo many needs. I love my students, but I have a hard time balancing between home and school and I do resent the time I spend away from my own family on weekends. That being said, it's a self-imposed exile because I feel I need to put this kind of time in to help "my babies". Also, my hubby has to travel for his job and I've moved. So I've taught K, 1, 4 and 5 in these seven years, so I haven't been able to reap the benefits of a long time at one grade level.
