i teach third and we are always amazed at how our kids that come to us at the beginning have no clue how to use the reg. notebook paper. we have suggested to our second grade teachers to start using this atleast for the last six weeks of school if not longer. in third we still use handwriting paper that we provide for spelling, cursive writing, sentences. but we use notebook paper for everything else. i find myself at the beginning of school teaching how to use the notebook paper for quite some time. i expect having to teach it some but our kids didn't even know which way the paper should go--writing on the backside for most of the time.
