Clip to ScrapBook
It is good that you recognize your weakness, and you are willing to make efforts to change. Another good book that I recommend is Gary Rubenstein's Reluctant Disciplinarian. It talks about his transformation from being a "softie" to becoming a successful teacher. It does get easier to "stick to your guns", but it feels very unnatural and almost mean at first. Just remember that the students will respect you more if you are not a pushover. Good luck.
